Where in the World...

How many volcanoes erupted today? Find out on the web once each week. Click on the link below to access a Discovery Channel site which shares disasters and other environmental concerns. The site is updated daily.

1. Locate and click on the volcano icons and read more about the particular eruption. Log in your notebook the date, volcano name, and type of eruption (i.e. - explosive, lava, or both).

2. Note on the world map where the eruption occured and date.
