Look into the magnifying
glass at the short yellow stick. You will see an enlarged image of the
stick with the red dots. Pull the slide with the large yellow rod toward
you until the rod blends with the magnified image of the stick above
and below the lens. If you close one eye and move your head from side
to side, the magnified image of the stick and the unmagnified image
of the long rod will move back and forth together. The magnified image
and the long rod are then the same distance away from you. Move the
long rd as close or as far away as possible. Now when you move your
head from side to side, the magnified image of the stick and the unmagnified
image of the rod don't move back and forth exactly together.
