Multiple Raccoon Eyes
This exhibit is part of the Green Tomatoes" exhibit. The visitor looks through two eye-holes in a piece of white Plexiglass(R) into a half silvered mirror. The illumination is from a monochromatic sodium lamp. The reflection from the front surface of glass and rear silvered surface make a set of rings appear around the eye-holes as seen in the reflection. This is caused by interference between the front and rear reflections.
