Rainbow Edges in Your Eye
RAINBOW EDGES in your eye lets you see the fuzzy rainbows around lights caused by the lens in your eye. This defect in lenses is called "chromatic aberration" and occurs because the edges of a lens are prism shaped and, like a prism, disperse the colors in white light. Blue light is bent most and therefore focuses closer to the lens than red light. When you look at purple light (red+blue) the red light comes to a point focus, but the blue is focused in front of the retina and is already spreading out forming a circular smear on the retina.
