The RESONATOR consists
of two flexible spring-steel bars of different lengths attached
to a motor-driven vibrating table. The vibrations cause the bars
to wave back and forth, and at certain frequencies one bar or the
other will resonate. At these resonant frequencies, the bar will
display beautiful nodes and antinodes. The exhibit automatically
runs through different motor speeds, or the motor speed can be manually
controlled.
