Internet Workshops

McBean Theater, Sundays, January 22-March 12, 1:00-3:00 p.m.
This year, we brought back the highly popular workshops of Multimedia Playground '94 by offering another series of expertly navigated Internet orientations. Workshops covered introductions for the uninitiated; information on how to hook-up from home; an introduction to tools such as Turbo Gopher, Mosaic, and Telnet; a "what's there?" of electronic publishing and local bulletin boards; and updates on the national debate around the official "information superhighway" versus the less-traveled web of decentralized "blue highways."
