About the Exhibition:

From 19th century pre-cinema toys to state-of-the-art digital technology, the science of the moving image is explored in all its depth and breadth. Learn the science behind how we perceive moving images, and create your own animated sequences. Find out how editors in a modern TV control room tell a story by combining live and recorded images. Discover how sound editors mix and manipulate dialog, music, ambient sounds, and sound effects to create the aural texture of a scene--then stand behind a microphone to dub your voice in Jerry Maguire or My Fair Lady. Find out how digital special-effects artists created dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, or use the Magic Mirror to try on some famous costumes from films and television.
