Athena Experimental Area

— Scientist working on the tube where anti-hydrogen is made
— Positron (anti-electron) source
— Positron chiller (to slow particles down)
— Liquid nitrogen for cooling the magnets
— Radiation safety door into the AD. Walking through this door while the accelerator is operating is a bad idea.
— Antiprotons enter Athena through this wall
— Magnet inside which antimatter interactions occur. Also houses detectors.
