Joel Deutsch is a fifty-eight year old writer who has suffered extensive vision loss over the past two decades, and is now legally blind. A regular computer and internet user living in Los Angeles, he employs a range of technologies to read and write, and to navigate the Web. This site is an ongoing conversation between Joel and long-time friend and Exploratorium staffer Michael Pearce, about Joel's blindness and the ways it has changed his life and thinking.
