Erosion Channel

by Michael Paha

This piece invites visitors to watch as streams of water slowly carve pathways and channels through a winding path of layered clay.

As with many of the exhibits in the show, Erosion Channel gives visitors an intimate look at one of nature's most complex processes. Viewed through the clear side panels, water from overhead nozzles appears to have created miniature mountains, deltas, and gentle rivers. Some plants have even sprung up!
