June 29, 1996, through January 5, 1997

Nature is the artist's palette in this exhibition at the Exploratorium. Rings of bubbles spin and dance, live molds carpet a whimsical landscape, and crystalline gardens cascade from above. You can make miniature volcanoes bubble and boil, create waves in sand and water, and watch the mysterious movements of the slime mold, one of nature's most fantastic creatures. By exploring the complex interactions of natural systems, the artworks reveal the elegant patterns of the world around us.

New! See 360 degree panoramas of the exhibition!
