The Common Murre
to Devil's Slide Rock

Help Me! I was put in danger by an oil spill off the San Mateo County Coast! Students pitch in to help. US Fish and Wildlife Service get out the word in classrooms in Pacifca, Montara, El Granada and Half Moon Bay, CA.

Common Murre : a local seabird is the target of restoration efforts by the US Wildlife Service. Ortega Middle School students in Pacifica, help with the project by repainting murre decoys that will be placed on the rock. Students learn about shorebirds and the value of a healthly environment.
