I love to travel and have visited about fifty countries. This summer I traveled in Kenya and Tanzania with Fred Cosentino. Below is a picture of Fred feeding a Maasai Giraffe at a Giraffe park outside Nairobi.

On our trip I saw animals that I have dreamed of seeing in the wild my entire life Below is a picture of a hippo taken soon after it left the water.

The only negative aspect of our trip was the guilt I felt about disturbing the animals and the sadness I felt that they are only somewhat safe from humans when they are in the animal parks. Below is a picture showing too many tourists chasing too few animals. Lions seemed to ignore us most of the time. In some cases they used our vehicles for shade and to hide behind as they watched a herd of zebra.

The biggest thrill of my trip was watching a part of the great wildebeast migration on the Serengeti. For twenty or so minutes an endless parade of wildebeast and zebra thundered by us. They were so close we could hear them breathe.
