Cumbia: Latin American Rhythm

This rhythm is written in four four time (written 4/4) which means there are four quarter notes per measure and each quarter note gets one beat. When there are four beats per measure, a whole note gets four beats, a half note gets two beats, a quarter note gets one beat, and an eighth note gets one half of a beat. A rest is a period of silence during which time is still counted.
