Both eyes
receive almost the same view which is fused in the brain to form
a single 3-D view of the world. This exhibit allows exploration
of the mechanisms of this fusing process. One person acts as a subject
and another as an observer. The subject sits against a white background.
The observer views the subject with one eye and a blank white surface
with the other eye. The observer then sweeps across the blank field
with a han,. This will selectively erase all or parts of the person
viewed. Sometimes only the subject's smile will remain.
