Circular Deformations
CIRCULAR DEFORMATIONS is a group of rotating disks which challenge your normal sense of shape. Each deformation is created by the tendency of the eye-brain to interpret expansion and contraction as movement toward or away from you. Your eye-brain also normally expects motion going in one direction to continue in that direction. The patterns include double-ended spirals, rotating cones, circles without common centers and ovals with disappearing lines.
