Colored Rooms

COLORED ROOMS demonstrates that two rooms can be painted different colors but appearto be the same. Some rooms are painted various colors and are lit by white light. These rooms reflect the color of the paint to your eyes, absorbing the other colors contained in white light. But other rooms are painted white—and lit by light of various colors. These rooms appear colored because the white walls reflect the colored light back to your eyes without altering its original color.
