Disagreeing About
Color
This
exhibit illustrates that different people perceive colors differently.
Selecting a color in the outer ring to match the center will often
bring disagreement. That is because no two peoples eyes contain
identical sets of cones, the light-sensitive cells that allow us
to see color. Each of the outer dots contains a different mixture
of red and green light. Most people will find only one or two dots
that look like the center dot.
