Fading Tone
This is a damped LRC (inductance, resistance, capacitance) oscillator. The visitor chooses a capacitor, charges it, and then discharges it into the LRC circuit. The damped waveform is seen on an oscilloscope and is heard on a speaker. The size of the capacitor determines the frequency of oscillation and a variable resistor determines the damping factor. (The size of the inductor is fixed.)
