The
GEOCHRON is an instrument which displays the extent of the earth
that is covered in sunlight on the current day at the current time.
By casting light from behind onto a flat map of the earth, the exhibit
shows the current boundary between day and night. The exhibit takes
into account the seasonal changes in daylight hours.
