Heat Pump The visitor turns a crank on a small compressor and feels coils of copper tubing hooked to the high and low pressure sides of the pump. As more work is done, the high pressure coil becomes warm to the touch and the low pressure coil becomes cold. Leakage from the high pressure side to the low pressure side can be regulated with a valve.
