The SHADOW KALEIDOSCOPE
is made from two small front-surfaced mirrors hinged together. A
kaleidoscope is an image multiplier. The number of images it makes
depends on the angle at which the mirrors meet. This kaleidoscope
has many possible angles. A red dot painted on the table lets the
observer see how many images are created at different angles. Visitors
can also make multiple shadow images with their hands if they hold
them above the mirrors.
