This exhibit allows
the visitor to explore the thermal properties of different types
of SKILLETS. Each of the four skillets have heat sensitive liquid
crystal material on their bottoms. When the visitor places the
skillet on a heating element, the liquid crystal changes color.
The visitor can observe that some skillets take longer to heat,
and some spread the heat more evenly than others.
