Very Slow Electric Oscillations
This exhibit demonstrates the way energy in a LC (inductance-capacitance) circuit oscillates back and forth between electric and magnetic fields. Both the voltage across the capacitors (stored electric energy) and the current in the circuit (the stored magnetic energy) can be observed on large meters. Two extra capacitors can be added to the circuit, slowing the oscillation. Since there is resistance in the circuit, the oscillations exponentially die out.
