The WAVE MACHINE is an
large version of a conventional classroom experiment which visibly
demonstrates wave movements. This wave machine has two four-foot
sections, one with nine-inch-long bars and the other with fourteen-inch
bars, connected by a graded section in a way which illuminates the
reflections. One end of the machine can be clamped, producing inverted
reflections. The wave movements pertain directly to the movement
of sound waves.
