WAVE UPON WAVE graphically
illustrates the interference between two waves. The exhibit consists
of two waves made from metal bars which move up and down. The two
waves themselves can be moved back and forth on top of each other.
When the wave forms coincide, a wave double the original wave height
results. When one wave's high point meets the other's low point,
they cancel each other out, resulting in a flat line.
