    1. Birds: egrets, cormorants, gulls, ducks
    2. Crabs: "2 species", blue, brown, red, young are sometimes yellow.
    3. Mollusks: clams (several species)
    4. Worms: segmented worms: polychetes, nureids?
    5. Fish: Striped bass

Figure 10: At a typical rocky shoreline quadrat students would count approximately 20 to 40 rock crabs at low tide.
