Though I grew up in New York, I've been living in California for the past 22 years. I live in Pacifica on the coast, 10 miles south of San Francisco, along with my wife and four cats. My career has focused on teaching and other youth program work. When I'm not working, my hobbies include hiking, skiing, travel, and creating music and video. (scroll down for more information) |

Currently I teach 8th grade science at Dr. Martin Luther King Academic Middle School in San Francisco. I'm also on the school's Leadership Team and Site Council, and I'm the accountant for the student body funds. This year I'll also oversee the school's garden. I'm an active member of the United Educators of San Francisco and I serve on their Middle School Committee and Executive Board. |

In Pacifica, I volunteer at the San Pedro Valley County Park visitor center and Pacifica Community Television , the local access cable TV station. I both produce and host a program for the station called CoastLine, featuring interviews and video on various "people, places, and things on the San Mateo County coastside". |
