Continuing
coverage from the path of totality, leading in to live reports from
Rîmincu-Vîlcea: the point of maximum eclipse for this
solar event.
The
Hungarian towns of Székesfehérvár, Szombathely,
and Siófok will celebrate the eclipse with folk performance
festivals. Church bells will sound during totality, followed by
evening fireworks. The town of Ópusztaszer will erect several
giant projection screens to show phenomena not visible to the naked
eye, and video of the approaching shadow from locations nearby on
the path of totality.
