Our
Webcast event culminates with live video of the 2m 10s of totality
visible from the Exploratorium's field station in the town square
of Amasya, Turkey. Exploratorium physicist Dr. Paul Doherty and
NASA astronomer Dr. Nahide Craig will provide commentary as the
solar event unfolds.
At
the Exploratorium in San Francisco, staff scientists, NASA solar
astrophysicist Dr. Christopher Johns-Krull, archeo-astronomer Dr.
David Dearborn of the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, and other NASA
Sun-Earth Connection scientists will moderate visitor questions
with our Turkey-based eclipse team, and conduct demonstrations of
the science behind an eclipse.
