Next Map Exploratorium Webcast Program
11:15 UT/4:15 PDT: Live reports and video from NASA scientists aboard their expedition ship in the Black Sea. A satellite relay system will allow viewers to see and hear NASA astronuat Ron Parise and archeo-astronomer Anthony Aveni relate their observations during totality, access onboard weather station readings, and map the ship's location based on the Global Positioning System. Audience members at the Exploratorium in San Francisco will be able to position the ship-board Webcam for views of the ship and the surrounding sea.

Local Eclipse Events and Web Sites
Due to the anticipated excellent weather conditions east of Romania, eclipse chasers will crowd the Black Sea with watercraft of all sizes, including passenger cruise ships which have been promoting "Millennial Eclipse Cruises" for months. Numerous amateur and professional ship-board Webcasts are planned, and scientific expedition ships will record observations for later comparison with data from space-based solar observatories such as NASA's High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager (HESSI).
