Seeds that
don't go into the freezer are stored in a large refrigerated room.
They will last an average of five years. Some will be sold in the NS/S store,
others will be given away to Native American farmers or grown out
at the farm to produce fresh seeds. And the gourds hanging in nets from
the ceiling? When they’re dry, they’ll be split open and their
seeds added to the collection.
