How did Explainers respond to Wi-Fi–enabled handhelds?

The project focused on investigating the applications of wireless handheld devices with the greatest potential for inspiring more in-depth learning and reflection about the exhibits and related phenomena. Specifically, the primary goal was to explore ways that the technology could expand the boundaries of the museum visit for the key audiences, including activities taking place before arrival at the museum (e.g., using a computer to plan a visit or provide orientation and background), during the visit (providing additional information and context for the exhibits and suggesting new avenues for experimentation), and after the visit (allowing additional reflection and analysis).
