A
wide range of approaches to wireless networks and
related technologies exist, so a primary goal of
the initial phase of the project was to explore
the appropriateness of different types of systems
for use in an interactive museum like the Exploratorium.
Several varieties of systems using different wireless,
location and database technologies were deployed
and tested by the Exploratorium in collaboration
with HP Labs and the Concord Consortium.
